Healing on the Streets has come to Wrexham in 2011!
After much anticipation, it gives us great pleasure to announce
that Healing on the Streets is now running every Saturday, in Queen's Square, from 10.30am until noon - rain or shine!
What is Healing on the Streets?
Healing on the Streets, or HotS, is a well-established ministry
that takes a gentle, but profound message onto the streets - a message
that says God loves you, wants to be known by you and wants to give you a
gift of love.
This message is carried by those to whom God has given the responsibility to share - namely, you and me...the church.
As we kneel in prayer, passers-by stop to look and are then asked to take a seat as followers of Jesus begin to share God's love and healing with gentleness, respect and compassion.
Whether they suffer from an illness, have hurt themselves or are just feeling a little bit sad or lonely, we will pray for them - or someone they know - without cost or pressure.
In the months we have been running, every single person we have prayed for is grateful and leaves genuinely touched by the Father.
Who is Involved?
Mission Wrexham and YWAM are the overseers for Healing on the Streets, but the real work goes on through 'ordinary' church-folk from across Wrexham and its surrounding areas. We have several churches supporting this initiative and several others considering it.
Each member of the HotS team will have been through the appropriate training and all have been personally recommended by their pastor or church leader.
Several partnerships exist and HotS has been at the AVOW fair and the Town Centre Environmental Day. Further partnerships are being developed.
Moreover, we have the full permission of the local council to operate and are in regular contact with them.
Can I Get Involved?
Of course! We would love to get some new HotS people on board...
Here's how you can become part of the HotS Prayer Team:
- Contact Sue at svening@ywamwales.org or 01978 365766 to book your place on the next training day (see below)
- Check with your church leader that they will recommend you
- Contact us when the publicity for the HotS training is released
- Turn up, enjoy the day and join the team!

Are There Any Stories?
Weekly we are privileged to see God touch the lives of the many who sit down for prayer. As time goes by we are building up a lovely set of testimonies of what God is doing.
As time goes by we will update this site via a soon-to-be-launched HotS blog and Facebook page...keep your eyes peeled!
